How the scanner is used

The MuckPuck Portable Scanner listens for MuckPuck tags through Peytec’s WPSN™ network, virtually anywhere on a mine site.

    Power on

    Switch on the battery-operated scanner, up to 12 hours covers one or more shifts in the field.

  2. 02

    Connect

    Pair the scanner with a smartphone over Bluetooth in the MuckPuck mobile app, no internet required.

  3. 03

    Scan

    Walk or drive the area underground, on surface or in tailings, and the scanner detects MuckPuck tags in its proximity.

  4. 04

    Review

    See detected tag IDs in real time on the display, with offline tag status stored in the mobile app.

Detected tag information stays available offline in the mobile app, so field teams can verify material movement even without connectivity.
